Teaching English Language in an Inclusive Class
Abstract
English Language is core in the educational process of our country Nigeria,
considering that it is a language of instruction and commerce among others. This
paper examines the concept of inclusive education and its emergence following the
Salamanca declaration. Approaches of making inclusion successful are also
discussed. Teaching strategies to be adopted by teachers in inclusive classes are
discussed. Recommendations are also made for successful teaching of English
Language in inclusive settings
